The Public Health Emergency Preparedness program is responsible for the planning and program development for the Summit County Health Department to protect the public health of Summit County’s citizens and visitors from the effects of manmade and naturally-occurring events. The goals of the program are to upgrade preparedness for and response to bioterrorism, other outbreaks of infectious disease, and other public health threats and emergencies.

The Summit County Health Department in conjunction with the Utah Department of Health is preparing to respond to issues of interest to the public and their health and well being.
